Hey guys - welcome to another training week. Hope you guys all had a great weekend.
This week will see the kickoff of our 8 week challenge. Exciting times!!
In line with the challenge we will be doing “Jackie” as a fitness test on Wednesday..
This will include the kipping movement for the pull-up component.. As we have been focussing on strict movement please focus on positioning, movement and making sure your technique is on point :) - other than Wednesday, the remainder of our focus remains on core strength, strict movement and correct positioning.
Thanks to Lewis we now have Snapchat.. the username is CF4000 - fun times - check it out :)
Over the last few months we have had some people approach us around their individual goals in CrossFit.
We appreciate that goals vary dependant on the motivators of training, like good health, longevity, remaining functional and overall wellness.
CrossFit does have a competitive side that can appeal to people, and this is a bit different to daily training just because specific movements and accessory work is needed to go along this path.
At the end of the day, it comes down to goals and what you want to achieve. The majority aim for wellness & health - some aim to compete.
CrossFit 4000 is a community centred on wellness & health and inclusion & support.
Competition is only positive if it is healthy competition, and solidifies the community, not segments it.
We will continue to focus on wellness & health for our community and the vast majority.
If you have aspirations to compete in CrossFit (all-skill levels i.e. from beginner through advanced) please send me a PM so we can help everyone achieve their goals.
Brooke has been announced as the Womens Health “Next Fitness Star”, so please feel free to tune into Chanel 7 at 10.55am tomorrow for the official announcement, and keep an eye out for the next issue of Womens Health Magazine - an amazing achievement made possible with the support of our community!
Moving on, below lists some class reminders;
>Express class on at 8am @ Adelaide St (Mon - Fri).
>Stretch and Flex at 1pm @ Margaret Mon and Fri.
Also, please remember to book in for classes before arrival so we can manage coach allocation.
Congratulations to Mike Green for pulling a swift one and getting married while on holiday! - Congratulations to Mike and Nat from the entire community.
Look forward to seeing you for another great week of training
